Wake-up call - The Real Independence

A Step forward to eradicate poverty, unemployment, malnutrition!

Since independence we are struggling to eradicate poverty, unemployment, malnutrition & improve literacy in our country. The challenge in even higher at the current scenario as we would be the world's youngest nation with 65% of the population below 35 year of age.
What is that we are going to do with such a strong strength of being the youngest nation across globe. We can't wait for things to happen on its own, if so then we would not be able to take the advantage of being the young nation. As a lay man I was thinking how can we eradicate poverty, unemployment & malnutrition, larger answer to it will be there should be a sea change in earnings of people across the nation. Each Indian should earn money above the poverty standard. It is a big picture! If we get into the minute details, how each countrymen will earn above poverty standards? Here is one step which I feel will play a crucial role in addressing the concern.

Urbanization with balance, how?
Identifying non-agricultural & agricultural land, roll out a plan where non-agricultural land to be utilized for urbanization. Yes I'm speaking about increasing 3 tier cities, have a plan that every 5 lakh of rural population has an urban locality where his requirements a're met. This will reduce the large movement of people for earning opportunities, it will be a mix of rural & urban India. Urbanization in such scale will help in diversified investment & which result in employment. Reach of various products, services, hospitals, shopping malls, modernization in cultivation, opportunities in production, industrialization, educational institutions, domestic business opportunities all these will help in eradicating unemployment & at the same time larger issue of a farmer getting right price for his farming also can be addressed as he will be having his target customer well in his reach.
Malnutrition & literacy rate are directly dependent on earnings of an individual, as the employment grows parallely earnings will grow as per the competition. Urbanization with robust plan will help in modernization in agriculture & as well on industrialization, maintaining balance equally will be an art here. Basic necessities to be met to ensure the balance is maintained, planned geographies to be worked for ensuring agricultural land is not used for construction purpose, government must have their training centres for modern ways of agriculture's.

This act will have an great amount of impact on present metros also, as the movement of people to metros can be controlled who come for their earning or for opportunities. People will come to metro for better opportunity in this such case not for basic needs. We all know every city will have its limitations to offer the best services to the citizens, if the population crosses the limit then the system starts collapsing due to excess users with limited resources.

There must be a master plan to ensure un healthy expansion does not take place, it should be well defined geography for development purpose. We have seen in past a similar project was rolled out as SEZ, most of the state's had bitter experience, the only state which seen success is gujrat. If the plans are executed in right manner success is possible, this is what the case speaks.
To ensure this to be more effective, few important things to worked. Identify non-agricultural land, which part of the town will be viable to cover 5 lakh population of rural, blue print to be made on construction limit, rollout on large scale to ensure diversified investment, identify the agricultural output & product, road, electricity, water & other basic necessities. These are few important factors which need to be addressed while planning.

Imagine what this will take us to, no non-developed state, it address farmer needs & gives him opportunity to sell his products direct to the consumer, job opportunities as per the skill, education opportunity to all, increment in earning standards, electricity, roads, connectivity so on. What will be the GDP size, Size of Exports with local production, consumption level, reach to village & connectivity to all villages.
It's a thought from me, professionals can give their views on possibilities & positive or negative implications of this.
Think! If we don't think out of the window then who will think.
